Hello Everyone! May is here and we are finally into the spring season. There are many new card sets that have recently been released and many more just around the corner. This coming weekend brings the Avengers movie to our local movie theater and my two boys have been pestering me about it non-stop for the last several weeks, so I'm guessing I'll be in line to see it at some point this weekend. And speaking of Spring and weekends, with the warmer weather there always seems to be more things to do either around the house, in the yard or with my family (I seem to be attending a lot of Little League games these days!) so please don't count on me answering emails, phone calls, etc. on the weekends. When time permits, I will try to ship things out on Saturday mornings, but sometimes family commitments come first and orders received after 8:00 AM Friday and throughout the weekend may not get processed until Monday morning. My family and I thank you for your understanding! | |

Non-Sport News: The James Bond 50th Series 1 cards from Rittenhouse are here and ready to ship. The base cards are all embossed gold foil and look awesome. They are also all odd numbered so the base set is numbered 1, 3, 5, ... 197. This is because Series 2 (shipping this fall) will be all even numbered and you'll be able to mix the two sets together. The Dr. No throwback chase set (108 cards!) is very cool as well. I'll have full sets as well as large selection of individual chase cards posted on the website hopefully by early next week. Also, Rittenhouse has officially sold out of boxes/cases but I still have a couple of cases left. I do anticipate a price increase by next week. |

Cryptozoic has rescheduled the Smallville Seasons 7 thru 10 set to arrive later this month with an official release date of May 22nd. The official checklist shows 14 different autograph cards (1 per box) and 30 different costume cards (2 per box). There are 85 cards in the basic set and 2 different 9 card chase sets. I plan on breaking down a couple of cases of these so I should have plenty of individual chase cards available which I'll post to the website shortly after the release date. |

We are expecting to receive the Eureka Autograph Card Expansion Set from Rittenhouse on the 23rd. This set features all-new autograph cards signed by Erica Cerra, Joe Morton, Ed Quinn, Matt Frewer and Chris Gauthier. As an added bonus, for every 3 sets purchased, you will receive FREE an extremely limited autograph card signed by Neil Grayston, and for every 5 sets purchased, you will receive FREE an extremely limited autograph card signed by series star Colin Ferguson. And yes, you'll get both bonus cards if you purchase 5 sets! The Eureka Autograph Card Expansion Set is limited to only 250 sets worldwide. |

Also scheduled to arrive around the 23rd are the Marvel Beginnings Series 2 cards from Upper Deck. This is a follow up to the sold out series 1 set from last year. It is my understanding that boxes will have either a Sketch, Autograph or Hologram card as well as a selection of other chase cards. The base set has (like series 1) 180 and will take more than 1 box to assemble. My orders for these was pretty conservative so if you want a box I recommend placing your order as soon as possible. I will be breaking a few boxes to make some base sets and will post the chase cards to our website at that time as well. |

The Games of Thrones cards from Rittenhouse aren't due to arrive here until the 6th of June, but I thought I better give everyone a heads up because pre-orders have been very strong and I'm expecting these to sell out early. With nearly all of the major cast signing autograph cards this looks to be an outstanding release. The base set will have 72 cards and sealed boxes will have 2 random autographs as well as an assortment of other chase cards. If you want multiple boxes or a full case, please get your order in to us ASAP to avoid disappointment! |

Game Card News: The fifth Pokémon TCG: Black & White Dark Explorers expansion is scheduled to arrive around the 9th and continues an impressive run featuring Unova and non-Unova region Pokémon-EX cards, more powerful Pokémon that deliver devastating attacks to your opponents. We are pre-selling both full booster boxes and individual booster packs and will also be selling theme decks once they arrive. |

Wizards of the Coast has the Magic Avacyn Restored expansion scheduled to release on Friday the 4th. This is the 3rd set in the popular Innistrad block and features 244 cards as well as parallel foil versions. The set has an Angel vs. Demon theme and I've been very impressed with some of the Angel preview cards that I've seen. We are pre-selling both booster packs and full boxes. I'll also have intro packs and event decks available as soon as we receive them. I've been told that our order for booster boxes has been allocated, so I cannot guarantee that all pre-orders will be filled with my initial shipment. If you have any questions about this, please drop me an email. |
