May 2008 Newsletter
Hello Everyone! - It's been a cold spring with our local daily high temperatures just reaching the 60 degree mark most of this last week.  I must admit I'm suffering from cabin fever and am looking forward to getting outside a little bit more.  My boys have been begging me to take them camping and I plan on doing so sometime in the next couple of weeks, so please don't be alarmed if I go offline for a long weekend.

Action Figure News*:
The Star Trek TNG Series 5 figures were rescheduled for a mid-May release.  The 2nd series of the Star Trek Wrath of Khan figures as well as the Death of Spock 2 pack are due to arrive any day now.

Non-Sport Card News*:
Todd Jordan and the folks at Non-Sport Update have done it again with an all new 2008 edition of their Promo Card Encyclopedia & Price Guide.  Shipping around the middle of the month, this comprehensive 192 page encyclopedia has listings for over 8000 promo cards from 1990 to the present.  Prior editions of this encyclopedia have been very quick to sell out.

Inkworks has pushed Supernatural Connections back to June 4th.  They have yet to release the list of autograph signers which probably explains the delay. Keep in mind that boxes will include BOTH an autograph and a costume card.  Pre-Orders have been very strong!

Due to arrive around the end of the month just before it's June 6th premier in the theaters is Kung Fu Panda.  Inkworks has targeted this set toward the younger crowd with it's inclusion of sparkly stickers and lenticular motion cards.  Also check out the special Collector Boxes that come with 6 packs and 1 of 3 exclusive lenticular cards.  Buy these for yourself or for that special young one you'd like to introduce to the hobby.

The fine folks at Rittenhouse have really outdone themselves with the new Battlestar Galactica Season 3 set due at the end of the month.  Each box comes with 2 autograph cards and the list of signers is absolutely fantastic and includes many of the main cast.  The 2 case incentive is a Tricia Helfer autograph costume card and the 6 case incentive is an Edward James Olmos autograph.  As with all prior BSG sets, we expect these to be a complete sell out.

The long delayed 24 Season 5 cards are now back on schedule for an end of May release.  This set will have autograph, costume and prop cards.  Keeping in mind that this set was originally scheduled for a Spring 2007 release, I have high expectations for high quality inserts.  According to the folks at Artbox, this is a very limited release.

We are also now taking pre-orders for the following:
