Happy Ground Hog Day

We will be attending RadCon President's Day weekend at the Red Lion in Pasco, Washington. This is our favorite show and it is has really been the only one we are doing on any regular basis.  The show starts on the afternoon of Friday the 12th and goes straight through Sunday afternoon.  Digital Heroes will be closed for those days, but if you plan on attending the con and have anything you'd like us to bring, please drop me an email so I can make arrangements.  

Non-Sport Card News*:
Topps has it's Garbage Pail Kids Flashback scheduled to release around the middle of the month.  This set focuses on the "Best of the '80s" and includes rare and never before published "Lost GPKs" along with a special "Where Are They Now?" subset featuring brand new art.  If you are GPK fan you won't want to miss this set and please be aware that we ordered very few extra boxes and we will NOT be breaking these to make sets!   

5finity has their latest sketch card series due to arrive around the middle of the month and this time the set is featuring one of the classic sci-fi cartoons of all-time, Voltron: Defender of the Universe! Like all 5finity releases, these cards are sold individually by the pack and each pack is guaranteed to contain at least one hand drawn sketch card.  Since this is a sketch card only series, this means that most packs will contain only a single card. Keep in mind that the last 3 5finity releases were instant sell-outs and if you are interested in these I highly recommend that you place your order as soon as possible.  5finity is sold out and once our allocation is gone we will be unable to get more.

Rittenhouse archives has scheduled it's latest Star Trek release to arrive around the end of the month.  Women of Star Trek features all of your favorite female Star Trek characters from all five Star Trek TV series.  Each factory sealed box contains 3 autograph and 2 costume cards!   We are expecting this set to be very popular and have planned on breaking a case in order for us to sell the contents individually.  Expect to see individual autograph, costume and other chase cards posted on our website sometime after the official release around the end of the month.  We've ordered quite a few but if you are looking at case quantity we'll need to get your order as soon as possible for us to be able to guarantee it.  

Topps has Star Wars Galaxy Series 5 due to release around the end of the month.  The base set includes 120 cards from some of the top and upcoming fantasy artists of all time.  Each box will have a hand drawn sketch card and there will also be randomly inserted actor autographs (odds TBA) to be found as well.  Topps has been very successful with these and Series 4 was an instant sell out.  I expect we will sell though Series 5 pretty quickly as well.  If you are expecting to pick up a full case (8 boxes), please place your order as soon as possible. 

Gaming Card News*:
Wizards of the Coast has their Worldwake expansion due to arrive here early next week. This set is the follow up to the very popular Zendikar expansion and contains 145 black-bordered cards, including randomly inserted premium versions of all cards in the set. We are pre-selling booster boxes and individual booster packs.  Boxes contains 36 packs with 15 cards per pack.  We are nearly sold out of our initial allocation, but there will be a later shipment of these as well, so feel free to order at your leisure. 

Pokemon USA is putting out their latest release titled HeartGold & SoulSilver around the 10th.  This is an all new Pokemon game that supersedes the Platinum series.  This set promises two new types including Pokémon Prime and the astonishing Pokémon legends.  My 9 year old is as excited for these as I am at seeing the new Lost season premiere (see above).  We are currently pre-selling booster boxes & packs, and I plan on having the theme decks listed soon as well.     

Comic Book News*:
Around the end of June DC is releasing an original Batman graphic novel called Arkham Asylum Madness. It is the most feared house in all of Gotham City. It contains the worst that the city has to offer. It is the place The Dark Knight's most dangerous and psychotic foes call home. Writer/artist Sam Kieth, creator of THE MAXX and artist of the acclaimed miniseries LOBO: HIGHWAY TO HELL, invites you to spend 24 hours in Arkham Asylum - the most unsettling house in the DC Universe.

Ape Entertainment has scheduled Shrek Forever After The Prequel graphic novel to ship around the end of April. Shrek and the gang are back in this exciting prequel to this summer's animated feature Shrek Forever After. Take a sneak peek at the nefarious new villain Rumpelstiltskin as he tries time and again to get the best of Shrek and the gang, but why you ask? All your questions are answered in this hilarious prequel!
